Jonathan graduated
in 1989 from the University of Newcastle,
and remained there in the restorative
dentistry department for six months
treating complex cases. He then travelled
to Australia to work in hospital and
private practice for three years.
After working in a number of practices
in the UK he joined Dr Paul Murphy
in 1999. He is committed to high standards
of care and ongoing study, and completed
the three year postgraduate qualifications
from the Eastman and the Bristol Dental
Hospitals in 2002. He has a keen interest
in cosmetic and implant dentistry
as well as root canal treatment.

Having graduated in 1983 at the Welsh
National school of medicine Paul became
a partner in a large Bristol practice
in 1985.He has since been responsible
for running several surgeries throughout
the city and founded THE DENTAL SURGERY
in 1997.The idea of being able to
offer patients the facility to see
different specialists within one building
was the first of its kind in the area
and continues to set new standards.
Paul became the first dental surgeon
in the country to be awarded a Diploma
in Restorative Dental Practice by
University College London and is also
a registered Nobel Biocare surgeon.
He offers a referral service for both
implantology and root canal treatment
and has a special interest in cosmetic
and advanced restorative dentistry.
Paul has three children, is closely
associated with Clifton College School
and is a keen sportsman.

Joseph McGill - BDS, MSc, FDS RCPS,
M Orth RCS, MSc
Joe graduated in 1992 from the University
of Glasgow and remained in the city
for vocational training in general
dentistry. A year of study and clinical
training at Newcastle Dental School
led to a Masters Degree in Restorative
Dentistry in 1994. During a further
two years on hospital rotation he
was awarded a Fellowship in Dental
Surgery from the Royal College of
Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow,
gaining the certificate for best performance.
In 1996 Joseph
was appointed specialist registrar
in Orthodontics at Bristol Dental
Hospital and Royal United Hospital,
Bath and completed his Membership
in Orthodontics from the Royal College
of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1999 and
an MSc by Research from the University
of Bristol in 2000. Joseph has a special
interest in adult orthodontics.

in Restorative Dentistry (Periodontology) Specialist in Periodontology
Roger Yates trained at Birmingham
Dental Hospital qualifying in 1984.
The following 5 year period was spent
developing skills in hospital services
including 3 years as a Registrar in
Restorative Dentistry. The next 7
years in general dental practice then
a return to hospital services at Bristol
where he completed specialist training
in Restorative Dentistry and gained
a Consultant post in 2003. He has
lectured extensively particularly
in Periodontology and published a
number of papers in peer reviewed
journals.

is the British Society of Periodontology
Representative in the South West,
has published prolifically in peer
reviewed journals and is an international
speaker in her field of periodontology.
